Great British hopes 08/05/2008

Today George and Sean fly out to Malta to once again represent us in the European Kata championships all here at Shiro-no Zen would like to wish them the very best, good luck fellas just enjoy yourselves and do your best

Increase in mat fees 04/03/08

Due to the increases in room hire and other club expenditure it is unfortunate that we must increase our mat fees to ensure the financial survival of our club these increases have been kept to a minimum of 50 pence per person per session, concessions for weekly bookings still apply, these increases will come in to effect from 03 April 08 may we thank all our members for their continuing support, we still feel our club offers excellent value for money all proceed after overheads go back to the club to supply equipment etc. None of our coaches receive any payment for their services and for this we give them our thanks.

01-02/12/2007 - Annual Budo course

This year 22 of shiro-no-zen’s finest travelled to Nottingham to take part in the annual Christmas Budo course we all had a fantastic time there were some old favourite tried by our enthusiastic players and one or two new arts being tried for the first time We had a surprise when Andrew Millard chose two of our blue belts to grade there and then to Brown as he said they were exceptional at their grade well done to Daniel and Lee for making us all very proud Details of next years course will be passed to you all as soon as we confirm it with Gordon thanks to all that turned out and made it a very enjoyable weekend look forward to next year

06/10/2007 - The Mayor of Bury

On Saturday the 6th October the mosses Centre had its 2007 open day The Mayor of Bury opened the proceedings watching demonstrations of some of the activities that take place in the centre. He ended his visit enjoying a impressive demonstration from some of the shiro-no zen kids who he then requested to be photographed with as a token of appreciation

05/05/2007 Fund raising
Shiro-no zen judo are looking to raise funds in order to purchase new Equipment any ideas for fund raising events or activities would be welcome please forward to our email address or George or Neil. so members and members parents if you need football cards to sell just ask george or neil and we will provide, but any other method you can think of would be fantastic (as long as it is legal) remember we are a none profit organisation we need you!
